With reviews all over the map, I thought I was in store for a mediocre breakfast, but after driving through three towns and finding several places completely full, I was ready to settle.  Finding a breakfast place that wasn't completely full at 11:00 on a Sunday morning is no small feat.

Still, Snoopy's has been around a looong time, so they must be doing something right ... right?  This is a classic, old-school 1950s-era diner, with green tile, speckled Formica counters, stainless steel panels and individual jukeboxes.  It's reminiscent of a train car, with a long, narrow dining area consisting of just six booths, and several stools along a counter.  Bathrooms are downright tiny.

As others have stated, service was slow, but then again, they only had one waitress, who did an excellent job, in my opinion.  She was able to keep pace with the moderately busy flow of customers, though, and the place was immaculately clean.

It was a longer-than-average wait for my food; I ordered the "4x2" breakfast, so named because it consisted of two each of pancakes; eggs; bacon and sausage.  The food was well-worth the wait, however, as every single item was cooked to perfection!  Buttermilk pancakes were thick, fluffy and delicious (I requested no margarine, but butter instead).  Homefries had ample flavor, and were cooked to the right consistency, as were my scrambled eggs.  Snoopy's is smart to not include any toast in this meal, which was plenty big for my huge appetite.  Toast would have been not only excessive, but irrelevant, in this spectacular combo, which was fairly priced at just under $10.

Overall, Snoopy's exceeded my expectations (I did dock a star because the toilet in the men's bathroom needs some work).  Snoopy's was not jam-packed, like many diners or breakfast places are on a weekend.  It had a nice, relaxing vibe, and it was a real treat to enjoy a leisurely breakfast.  So, if you find yourself having to go out for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning, but don't want to fight the crowds, don't drive from place to place - just come here and order the 4x2!

Cute diner! Enjoying having breakfast with my wife, selecting music on the table juke box, and having a delicious food. It definitely makes for great conversation and feels like a diner from yesteryear.
